Registration

Fall ball runs from the weekend after labour day until the weather stops us (usually mid october). League age for fall ball is based on 2024 player league age. The format is up to the coaches involved in each age group and the number of players who register. A typical routine would be a weeknight practice and a game or two on the weekend. The groups can be tiered at the discretion of the participating coaches.

It is a good opportunity to improve skills without the pressure of the regular season.

We will be running a rookie division ($75) and Minor ($90), Major ($90), Intermediate ($90), Junior ($90) and Senior ($90) Divisions.

Player’s play age based on guidelines outlined above. Registration Fees include all field and facility costs, insurance, uniforms, supplied equipment and pictures (includes team and individual photograph).

FAMILY RATE: If more than 2 children are registering, you pay only for the two oldest. Please email registrar@whalleylittleleague.com to have the family rate applied to your registration.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We strive to ensure all children have an opportunity to participate in our programming regardless of their family's income. Please review the available options through Kidsport and Jumpstart. Please indicate you have applied for assistance when registering with us. You will need to submit your program application numbers once you've received them.

REFUNDS: an administration fee of $25 will be deducted from registration refunds.

Quote from the "Kids Sport" Website

"We believe that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. KidSport™ provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport."

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT

Each player in the League (up to two players per immediate family) is expected to have an adult over the age of 16 complete a three hour maintenance work party or concession shift.  If the volunteer duty is not completed by the end of the regular season, the $150 volunteer deposit cheque will be cashed by the League.

About Whalley Little League

Whalley Little League exists to provide the youth of our community with an affordable opportunity to learn excellent baseball skills in a fun, healthy, environment and to develop the three attributes of Little League’s Motto: Character, Courage, and Loyalty; to also understand an individual’s contribution to a team, to value healthy competition, and to respect the game and all its participants. Our goal is that these values and attributes will extend in to the lives of our players beyond baseball.

It is our vision that we will continue to inspire pride in every player, parent, and volunteer for being part of a continuing tradition that has made us the most successful Little League in Canada since 1956.
